Grounded Beginnings in Lancaster

In the historic city of Lancaster, Pennsylvania—a place known for its juxtaposition of heritage and progress—Drathen Zelthorne’s love for interconnected systems and digital guardianship began early. As a teenager, he toyed with circuit boards in his family’s basement, intrigued by how digital and physical worlds could talk to each other. But more than that, he was disturbed by how inaccessible technology still felt to many people—laden with jargon and too often designed without empathy.

Where others marveled at innovation for innovation’s sake, Drathen focused on purpose. “How does this help people?” was always his guiding question. Growing up surrounded by Lancaster’s blend of traditional Amish culture and modern urban growth sparked his interest in designing tech tools that respected individual agency while pushing boundaries responsibly. This regional contrast—between analog living and digital integration—informed much of Keepho5ll’s ethos.

Care-Aware Design

Keepho5ll is a manifesto of care-aware principles, ensuring that backend functionality never forgets the human element. Our interactive tools allow you to explore and set up systems without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether syncing wearables or protecting home systems, we put support before sales by design.

Digital Advocacy

Grounded in a visionary mind, we demystify device permissions and advocate for safer data ownership. Technology should be a transparent bridge, not a barrier to privacy.

Our city-level awareness campaigns help users navigate their digital world carefully, clearly, and with inspired confidence.

Adaptive Empowerment

The hallmark SmartSync Guide is an interactive walkthrough that adapts to user behavior. It detects confusion and modifies steps to ensure onboarding is accessible to everyone.

At Keepho5ll, we build tomorrow by helping you meet your devices on your own terms, from automation to complex sensors.

The Launch of Keepho5ll

In 2019, from a modest office in Lancaster, Drathen launched Keepho5ll with just three employees and one shared goal: deliver technological clarity. His initial product offering? A dynamic dashboard for hybrid workplace security and user-device bonding, which generated real-time alerts when tech environments changed. It wasn’t flashy, but it was brilliant—and urgently needed in a post-2018 data-fraught world where even casual users wanted to know their smart devices better.

Operating Monday–Friday: 9 AM–5 PM EST, Keepho5ll has grown to occupy the cutting edge of secure and interactive tech. Drathen’s deep understanding of how technology intersects with wellbeing makes Keepho5ll particularly unique in a crowded space. Each product, whether it’s a data insight tool or a device onboarding guide, echoes his belief that information doesn’t intimidate—it empowers. Mindful Stewardship

Keepho5ll partners with local education nonprofits and tech schools to foster a culture of reciprocal innovation. We believe meaningful change is sparked through mentorship programs and collaborative IoT integration.

Our commitment to expanding our reach ensures that Lancaster remains a hub for ethical tech stewardship.

Looking Ahead

We are currently prototyping "Pulse Beacon," a predictive tool designed to combat digital fatigue. Our upcoming tech empathy summit will invite leaders to explore ethical ecosystems and curious living.

At Keepho5ll, we build tomorrow by walking beside our users, ensuring they stay informed and respected.

Facing Invisible Challenges

Launching a tech company in Lancaster, far from Silicon Valley’s shadow, came with its fair share of challenges. From securing investors unfamiliar with the mission, to fighting the perception that innovation doesn’t happen off the east coast corridor—it demanded belief and resilience. But Drathen found strength in Lancaster’s diverse economy, collaborative community spaces, and rising appetite for thoughtful tech solutions.

The 2020 pandemic only underscored the need for accessible, flexible, and ethically-minded tech. Drathen and team responded swiftly by developing scalable interactive setup guides for remote workers, equipping households with simplified onboarding experiences for their rapidly multiplying smart tools. It proved that empathic design—once considered optional—was in fact critical.
